For years, the push to automatize has been increasing. Now that labor is also scarce and inflation is sky-high, the pressure on organizations is further increasing. At Van Putten Agro, vision system applications have brought considerable levels of automation and personnel are no longer needed for that process.
Van Putten Agro makes use of a Brussels sprouts sorter and box robot from the French company MAF Roda. As exclusive representative in the Netherlands, Freshtech Solutions has ensured that this machine is properly assembled, installed and can function in Van Putten Agro’s production environment. The system ‘sees’ everything and almost no humans are involved. The sorted product is placed in boxes, ready for transport to the cold storage, or for further processing.
“With automation, we take some stress away from the production environment and reduce the pressure on the search for well-qualified personnel. In addition, we offer a very interesting ROI, making automation a more interesting investment than ever,” said Michel Koppert, director of Freshtech Solutions.
